Dr. Holger Alfes studied law at Westfälische Wilhelms University Münster, Germany, from which he graduated in 1995. He studied in an international LL.M.-program at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA, and passed the New York bar exam in 1996. He joined Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz in 1999 after two years of legal training (Referendariat) in Berlin. Before that he gained experience at a US law firm in Frankfurt/Main. Dr. Holger Alfes became partner of Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz in 2006.

Dr. Holger Alfes focuses on capital markets transactions and mergers & acquisitions, acting for issuers and underwriters in public equity offerings and listings on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as well as for acquirers and sellers in share and business acquisitions. His practice extends to the full range of general corporate work and corporate finance in connection with mergers & acquisitions activities. A substantial part of his work is related to Middle and Eastern European jurisdictions.
